Naavik is a real estate/PropTech SaaS platform for plot and township developments. Its web application and APIs already let Builder/Admin and Sales staff manage live projects—plot and villa inventory, pricing, availability, and bookings—but every action meant navigating a specific screen and workflow one at a time. Naavik wanted its own team to query and act on that same data through natural language instead, without rebuilding the platform underneath it. TechAvidus built the PropTech AI agent integration that made this possible.

The Real Risk: Security Boundaries & Concurrency Controls

While developing the system, we had to address complex architectural and security requirements:

Business Challenge: Naavik's platform handles trust-critical operations—live plot availability, pricing, and bookings. Making this accessible to AI agents without preserving existing business rules risked data conflicts or insecure paths into CRM data.
Endpoint Mapping: Mapping PascalCase REST endpoints (e.g., /api/Content/Project/{id}) into clean, LLM-friendly tool schemas without exposing internal API quirks.
Role-Scoped Tool Visibility: Enforcing Builder/Admin, Sales, and Buyer role separation inside a single MCP server without duplicating platform authentication logic.
Concurrent Writes: Preventing conflicting simultaneous writes when AI agents update plot prices or availability directly, mitigating double-booking hazards.

An MCP Server for Internal Tools First, Extended to Buyer Access

TechAvidus built a Node.js MCP server for internal workflows using the official @modelcontextprotocol/sdk over stdio transport as a tool-calling gateway in front of Naavik's REST/JSON APIs. The server exposes role-scoped tools across Builder/Admin, Sales, and Buyer-facing users, reusing Naavik's existing OAuth 2.0 authentication to mirror platform access boundaries.

The project was delivered over two months by a two-person team (one Node.js developer and one AI Integration/MCP engineer), leaving core Naavik modules untouched while acting as a seamless semantic layer.
